Assess the corner before you start!
Is it gentle or sharp? How much turn of the steering wheel is needed? Is it even or does it change shape? |

Drive passed the side road you intend to reverse into and glance
down it to ensure that it is safe to continue with the manoeuvre.
Stop about half a metre (18") from the kerb and about 1½ to two car-lengths passed the junction. |

Selecting reverse,
POM
and when safe, move straight back to your

Observe all around before turning the steering wheel towards the kerb and ... |

... keep the curved part of the kerb in its reference point.
This will keep the back wheel about half a metre from the kerb.

Keep the straight part of the kerb in the middle of the back window ...

... and glance in the mirror to check the distance from the kerb
- no closer than this!
Then observe out of the back window! Why is staring into the mirror dangerous? |
